In November ROSA SEPPLE will delight her fans with her bi-annual solo show with the Linda Blackstone Gallery. This year the show will take place at a fabulous new Gallery which had its official opening at the end of May 2011. Rosa will be showing about 40 of her innovative and quirky works at The Store Street Gallery, 32 Store Street, London WC1E 7BS from Monday 7 to Saturday 12 November 2011, Gallery Hours: 11am to 6pm. There will be a special Preview on the evening of Monday 7 November.

Rosa Sepple was born in 1951 in London of Italian/British parents, Luciana and James Wright. Her formative years were spent in Northern Italy, growing up with her Italian grandparents in Treviso, near Venice. Throughout these years she spent a great deal of time in the studio of her grandfather, Italian artist, Salvatore Casagrande. On returning to England, Rosa married photographer Ed Sepple and after raising two sons she was able to devote most of her time to painting. She is now fully occupied as a painter committed to producing exciting, vibrant and highly original figurative works combining observation, memory and imagination. Most of her inspiration is drawn from ordinary people and everyday experiences and events. These are then transformed and transported into a dream-like world of her own. Rosa is self taught and her compositions have a powerful visual strength and refreshing spontaneity. She experiments continuously using a combination of mediums including water colour, acrylic, gouache and ink as well as collage to produce beautiful textured surfaces and rich variations of colour and tone.

The artist has exhibited her work with the Linda Blackstone Gallery since 2002, holding highly successful solo exhibitions with the Gallery in 2005, 2007 & 2009. She exhibited at the annual exhibition of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours, the Mall Galleries, London, in 2003, where she was the recipient of the Best Figurative Painting Award. At the 2004 exhibition she won the Debra Manifold Memorial Award and was subsequently elected as a full member of the RI. In March 2009 Rosa was elected a full member of the Society of Women Artists. Rosa had a painting selected and hung at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2009.  Her work is in numerous private collections in the UK, Italy, France and the USA.
