Beneficiaries of the Be Someone Foundation

Michael Takura Art Gallery through its Be Someone Foundation has assisted 10 orphaned and disadvantaged school-children with tution fees. The 10 children all attend Gillingham Primary School in Dzivarasekwa, Harare. Intially the Be Someone foundation was mean’t to have been launched in Mutoko but due to logistically problems, primarly the vetting process, it was decided that Gillingham Primary School be the launch school.

‘When one looks at giant pine tree one must remember that it was once just a tiny seed’. These 10 children symbolise the tiny pine seed as the main objective is for Be Someone Foundation ending up assisting as many children as possible in the near future. I hope this unselfish act will inspire others to assist those in real need of help.
In my personal experience, those who perform unselfish acts of generousity always recieve blessings when they least expect them. Take a minute out, and look around to see if they is anyone who is in dire need of help. By helping others one is securing their future.
These 10 children now have the choice to succeed in life, some of them may end becoming doctors or nurses who might one day save more lives, but if they were left abandoned in the streets, they is a high chance of them turning to criminal activies and instead of saving lives they could end up taking lives. I sincerely hope that this small gesture will bring some positive benifits to these 10 children, society and Zimbabwe as a whole.
